We're only 2 days into the new year and already some good things are happening for BGS Training!
Back in November, I contributed to an article coming out this month in the new Det Nye Shape Up magazine talking about how body fat percentage is a better indicator of overall health than weight alone. The article aims to help women (the target audience) realize the fat loss benefits of strength training despite the sometimes accompanied weight gain. It's very possible to lose 5kg of fat, gain 7kg of muscle and be considerably trimmer despite being 2kg heavier! Take a look at how much space fat takes up on the body as opposed to muscle and it makes more sense. See it here!
FreshFit, the new training program I've been doing exclusively for Fresh Fitness, is expanding and is now in six centers (Carl Berner, Ensjø, Ullevål, Ryen, Skårer and Drammen) with three more starting with it this month (Majorstuen, Fredrikstad and Arendal). We have a new program each week and are building a community of members that relish the unique challenge that each session brings. Even if you're not a member (though at 199kr a month, you should be), go try out the class. Group sessions are included in the free trial day at every center.
